I've worked with Lionel on both print media and online projects over the course of almost ten years. As a writer and photographer, Lionel was a key contributor when I was editing Outpost Magazine - right around the time we won Magazine of the Year at the National Magazine Awards. When the magazine finally decided to develop a more substantial web presence, Lionel was critical in helping us develop an overall strategy, site architecture, and doing the technical dirty work.

If Lionel were a car mechanic, he'd be as happy under the hood, tooling with the engine, as he would be obsessed with design detailing. Lionel has always been enthusiastic, resourceful and quick to solve problems, constantly pushing his skills and keeping abreast of the fast-changing web environment. And by extension, pushing everyone else around him to better understand the potential of the web.

More recently, Lionel assisted me in launching an eclectic, worldly, online magazine called Broken Atlas. Working intensely with him again has been one of the most rewarding parts of the creative process. I look forward to seeing where he takes us.

"I had the pleasure of working alongside Lionel on a variety of complex and interdependent projects. Lionel is goal-oriented and adds value to multi-faceted team-based projects. He is well versed in online strategies and related online media and technologies. He works well with team members and in identifying and capitalizing upon the strength of team members and able to develop the weaknesses of fellow colleagues. I would welcome another opportunity, without hesitation, to work alongside Lionel."

"I had the pleasure of working with Lionel while I was at Convio, from almost two thousand miles away. He was technically proficient, knowledgeable about what the product could and could not do, a good communicator, and was always professional and fun to work with. He would be an asset to any organization."

"It is my pleasure to highly recommend Lionel Mann for your strategic and technical online marketing, eCRM and web design and development needs. Lionel worked with me and for me in a variety of positions with increasing responsibility at the Canadian Cancer Society from 2001 through 2009. A great online strategist, Lionel is passionate about emerging trends and continually brings new ideas to the table. In his time at CCS, Lionel developed a track record of researching and presenting innovative ideas in such a way that they were easily understandable, actionable and measurable, and of successfully managing the resulting projects from conception through completion. He is a creative designer, an exceptional team player, and a great coach and teacher."
